Bloating is any abnormal general swelling, or increase in the
abdominal area. Bloating is a very common problem these days. Bloating
happens in small intestine and not in stomach. It is common problem
faced by many after eating food; some might face it daily or some
after eating some particular food. In stomach bloating after eating,
one feels uneasy and irritated. Discomfort after eating is the most
common symptom of stomach bloating. At times, it is difficult to say
that whether the bulge in the stomach is due to fat or
bloating. Bloating is more common in women and women do get stressed
due to excessive belly fat. Males also have this problem but it is
more in women. Almost everyone suffers from stomach bloating. Many
people ignore this and they do not even come to know that they are
suffering from bloating.
Causes for stomach bloating are many; some of the causes are such
as over eating, constipation, eating at higher speed an air
swallowing. Another cause of bloating is irregular digestion that
causes formation of gases at faster rate than normal.
Apart from these causes, there are few other reasons as well that
are responsible for stomach bloating after eating. Increase in fiber
content due to eating of some vegetables or fruits may cause stomach
bloating. A large meal can be a reason of bloating. Going to bed just
after eating should be avoided because it may cause bloating. One
needs to maintain a gap of minimum 3 hours between the meal and
sleeping.
Bloated stomach can also be due to infection and it can be natural
in some people as formation of acid is more in them as compared to
others. Eating gassy food produce gas, no doubt; one should take
light food to avoid such issues. Stomach bloating after eating may be
an everyday problem for some, then in that case reasons or food items
should be found out which cause bloating and those food items should
be avoided. Stomach bloating can be irritating and embarrassing
too.
Stomach bloating can be avoided by regular exercise, as this is the
best way to get rid of such problem. One should stay away from food
items that cause bloating in particular. Full 7-8 hours of sound sleep
may also act as helpful. Milk products such as cheese and butter,
beans and lentis that increase the rate of gas formation and sugarless
chewing gums and fruit juices which contain artificial sources of
sugar should be not consumed, as they are one of the causes of stomach
bloating.
In today's time, most of the people face this problem due to hectic
lifestyle and the unhealthy foods. Bloating can be embarrassing at
times because it can happen after lunchtime in office or any public
place after having a meal. Eat small meals rather than having one big
meal and avoid foodstuff that causes irritation on stomach line. Drink
water as much as you can because it will make you energetic and also
will keep you away from bloating.
